Cata and I are doing great, this last month we attended the celebration of the organization we work, Youth With A Mission, who have 50 years of spreading the gospel to every country in the world. We had in Costa Rica the founders of YWAM, Loren and Darlene Cunningham. The celebration was for 3 days in YWAM San Jose campus. We really en joy spending time with people and also hear what God has for the mission in the future.
Some of you know that Catalina is doing a professional make up school in San Jose (not with YWAM) every Saturday. This week will be her 7th Saturday she goes there. Mainly what Cata want to do with all this she is learning is to put it in practice at the mission field, why not to go one day to the prostitutes and do some make up for them or why not go to someone's home and do make up and share the gospel to them through a simple thing like make up. We want this to be a tool for ministry.
You also know that I started a ministry of skateboarders with another guy from the base. There has not much going on with the ministry because of time, but we got some great donations from friends in Canada and with some of the stuff we got we want to do a tournament in San Rafael so that people will start to getting to know us better and from there, make friend and tell them about Christ. If you don't know the skateboarding ministry is called J-19 (Joshua 1:9) Why we called like that? Well one I was asking God to show the name for the ministry and the verse Joshua 1:9 came to my mind, I read it and God began to show me his heart for this kind of people. God want us to make friends through this ministry and then tell them about Him!!!
Cata and I have been going through a really tough financial situation lately, so I want it to ask you all that please pray for us and for our ministry, we have the blessing that my parents gave us there home so that we can live here, but as you know we need personal stuff, we need to pay staff fees at the base, we need to pay for Cata's make up school, we need money to go out for ministry and church.
God is good and He have been very faithful to us and we have not lack anything so far but for us to be able to continue in the ministry we need people like you that believe in us, pray for us and support us, please help us to make this happen.
